I have always been a keen amatuer photographer from an early age and I knew that photography was the only profession I was likely to follow.
I studied photography in Edinburgh for three years which covered all aspects of the industry from fashion and editorial photography to photo journalism and portraiture and it's here I found my passion for social photography. After my studies I returned to Dumfries and I opened my studio in Glasgow Street where I have been for nine very successful years.
I specialise in wedding and portrait photography and I am always keen to create new and exciting images for my clients, whether it be a first birthday celebration to the bride and groom's special day.
I work alone, preferring to manage all aspects of the photographic shoot, whether it is a small portrait session to a large formal wedding party. I strongly believe in the personal touch, getting to know my clients (their likes and dislikes) and discovering what type of photography style they are looking for, for example, traditional, creative, contemporary to mention just a few.
With the arrival of digital photography, my business has expanded as fast as the technology develops offering never ending options to my clients. I was one of the first photographers in the area to be involved with digital imagery and now have a keen insight into all the trends and fashions within the industry.
I would endeavour to make your photographic experience both memorable and enjoyable, giving you the opportunity to have images that you would treasure and display in your home for many years to come.
